Criteria for Scoring Poster Presentations Research Study

Title

  1. Accurately and appropriately represents the study

Introduction

  1. Purpose &/or hypothesis of study clearly stated
  2. Study is original and/or a significant contribution to the medical literature

Method

  1. Clear and complete description of study methodology used

Results

  1. Complete data is reported
  2. Data is reported in a clear, concise, organized, & logical manner

Discussion/Conclusion

  1. Key implications of the results and comparison of the results to other similar studies in the literature are presented
  2. Appropriate literature review cited
  3. Conclusions valid based on the results of the study

Quality of Presentation

  1. Poster well organized and formatted
  2. Oral presentation was clear and cogent

1=poor  5= average  10= excellent

Criteria for Scoring Poster Presentations Case Reports & Literature Review

Title

  1.  Accurately and appropriately represents the study

Introduction

  1. Purpose of reporting the case or review of the literature is clear
  2. Presentation is a significant contribution to the medical literature

Case Report (for Case Reports Only)

  1. Clear and complete description of the case report

Discussion/Conclusion

  1. Key implications of the review of the case report and/or literature review presented
  2. Conclusions or recommendations valid based on the case report &/or literature review

Quality of Presentation

  1. Poster well organized and formatted
  2. Oral presentation was clear and cogent
